Legacy of Leading: Transforming Communities Through Service
The Legacy of Leading Gala is SOLD OUT! Boston Senior Home Care looks forward to welcoming guests for an inspiring evening celebrating the visionaries whose leadership continues to uplift older adults, individuals with disabilities, and caregivers across our community.
This year, we proudly recognize two extraordinary leaders whose dedication to community service has made a lasting impact:
-
Suzanne Lee – A pioneering educator and tireless advocate for immigrants' rights and Boston’s Chinatown community.
- John E. McDonough, DrPH, MPA – Renowned Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health professor and key architect of healthcare reform, championing health equity for all.
We are thrilled to announce that Mayor Michelle Wu will be joining us to present Suzanne Lee with the Community Advocacy Award. The mayor’s presence is a powerful testament to Suzanne’s decades of tireless advocacy for Boston’s communities and her extraordinary impact on our city. We appreciate Mayor Wu’s commitment to supporting Boston Senior Home Care and the transformational leaders who stand for compassion, equity, and justice.
Proceeds from the event will directly support critical services that help older adults and individuals with disabilities remain independent at home, including:
- Nutritious meal delivery to those who are homebound
- Care coordination to navigate complex healthcare systems
- Utility bill support for those facing tough choices between heat and other necessities
- Essential homemaker services that make daily life safer
Be part of this powerful legacy. Your support helps preserve independence, dignity, and quality of life for those who helped build the communities we cherish.
Although our event is sold out, you can still support us with a donation. A gift of any amount strengthens our ability to provide essential care and resources where they’re needed most.
Together, we can ensure that everyone has the opportunity to age well at home with the support they deserve.
